15 Euros provides vaccination against Hemophilus influenzae bacterium (HIB) for 1 child, thereby preventing life-threatening meningitis. 120 Euros provides pre-natal care for a pregnant woman on Mindanao (Philippines). 200 Euros enables 65 sick people to see a doctor in Mindoro (Philippines). 220 Euros provides 100 tooth-preserving fillings. 240 Euros enables 30 patients to see a doctor in our outpatient clinic in the Matare Valley slum in Nairobi. 30 Euros enables 10 children to be examined by a doctor. 360 Euros allows 12 severely ill patients with malaria to be treated as inpatients and healed. 50 Euros provides medical care by our rolling clinic with treatment of 18 patients in remote areas. 450 Euros enables more than 150 patients to be seen and treated by a doctor in our outpatient clinic in Chittagong. 500 Euros combats high infant mortality by providing 100 deliveries in a safe hospital environment. 5 Euros per month enables a pupil to attend school for a month in Dhaka and ensures the right to education. 100 Euros ensures inpatient treatment for a sick child in one of our hospitals on Mindanao.

Many people in the whole world live under worse conditions than we do. Their everyday lives are often plagued by diseases due to a lack of medical care. Our doctors perform voluntary 6-week missions from the Philippines to Bangladesh, India, Kenya and Sierra Leone to help these people during their annual holidays or after retirement. Without the doctors who voluntarily support us, this wouldn’t be possible.

The German Doctors is a medical aid organization which is active worldwide. Since every individual has a right to medical care, we provide healthcare in our projects. Whether people infected with HIV, undernourished children deficiency syndromes or people with chronic diseases, the German Doctors help everyone who needs help worldwide and voluntarily. It is our heartfelt desire to sustainably improve the local situations. We provide lasting help, for example with preventive measures, like training in hygiene or specialist training for indigenous health workers.

Our doctors have been carrying out medical missions for over 30 years and have helped innumerable individuals all over the world. But we depend on your donations to carry out this work. Every dollar or euro helps us help others. Your donation enables our doctors to care for the needy where they live. It finances the required medicines, feeding programs for undernourished children, and training of medical specialists in our project areas. It is easy to make a meaningful donation, with an online donation, a project partnership or by requesting a donation to us instead of a gift. Therefore our volunteer German Doctors offer medical treatments in developing countries for the poorest of the poor. Whether people infected with HIV, undernourished children deficiency syndromes or people with chronic diseases, we help everyone who needs help.

Our doctors work during their annual leave or retirement for a period of six weeks and waive any compensation. More than 7000 missions with more than 3200 doctors were completed since 1983.
